Cisarua Safari Park

The Cisarua Safari Park (Taman Safari Cisarua) is located about 20km west of Bogor and 78km south of Jakarta near the famous Puncak pass. The Cisarua Safari park was built in 1980 on a land area of 138.5 hectares.

Besides the animals which you can see from close-by, the Safari Park is equipped with various attractions such as the Mini Kora-Kora, Jet Coaster, Spinning Boat and others Each attraction costs Rp 10,000. Quite special is that you can also feel the thrill of swimming with crocodiles. This is of course not really together as there is a separation in the pool for people and crocodiles. Visiting the Cisarua Safari Park will be whole new experience for children as they can interact directly with the animals at the Baby Zoo.

If you get tired you can get into a train going around the area of the Safari Park or see the entire region from above, use the Sky Lift (cable car) for Rp 10,000. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops that sell stuffed animals, T-shirts or other souvenirs.

A gate that resembles elephant ivory is a sign that you're almost at the ticket booth. The entree fee for the Safari Park is different for Indonesians and international tourists: For Indonesians it is Rp 85,000 while foreign tourists pay Rp. 150.000 for an adult. Fees for the car is Rp 15,000. Safari park is open every day from 09.00 till 17:00 o'clock.

The Taman Safari Indonesia is located on the highway from Jakarta to Bandung about 80 km from Jakarta or 1.5-2 hours by car, and about 78 km from Bandung or 3 hours by car. When using public transportation or bus from Jakarta or Bandung, get of at the Cibeureum Cisarua stop, from there it is only about 15 minutes to Taman Safari Indonesia with taxi or ojek.
