Stop raising renaming KLIA2 issue, Liow tells AirAsia

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai had urged AirAsia to stop raising the issue of renaming the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

He said the matter was a non-issue and reiterated the Government's stand that it would not be changed.


"It is a non-issue. The airline should not muddle the two issues - airport name and their promotion exercise as a low-cost carrier. The two are different matters," he said after presenting MCA's contribution worth RM100,000 to the Malaysia Sinology Association, Friday.


Liow, who is also MCA President, said he would be willing to sit down with AirAsia to deliberate on ways to continue promoting their low-cost carrier brand.
