Two flights canceled, 200 stranded

About 200 passengers were stranded at the international airport here following the eleventh-hour cancellation of a Kuala Lumpur-bound Rayani Air flight this morning and a similar one this evening. Rayani Air customer service officer Muhammad Faiz Ghazali said the two flights to Kuala Lumpur scheduled at 11.10am and 6.20pm were cancelled due to technical problem.
"œThe planes had landed at the airport here. We faced some technical problems which forced the cancellation of the two flights schedule at 11.10am and 6.20pm today.
"œWe are offering those affected refunds or tickets for them to use the ferry and bus services to Kuala Lumpur," he said, adding that the company was still discussing the matter with those affected.
