Thai Airways cuts 1401 jobs, suspends flights to US

Thailand's beleaguered national airline will suspend flights to the U.S. as part of efforts to end years of losses. Thai Airways President Jarumporn Chotikasathein says the airline is suspending the unprofitable four roundtrip flights per week from Bangkok to Los Angeles, as well as to Rome. Flights on profitable routes to London and Franfurt will be doubled.
