Hong Kong Airlines celebrates inaugural flight to Sapporo

December 19 marked the inauguration of Hong Kong Airlines' five-time weekly flight service between Hong Kong and Sapporo, Japan. To commemorate the official launch of this new route, Hong Kong Airlines has held celebrations at Hong Kong International Airport and destination airport.

Before departure, models dressed in traditional Kimono presented every passenger with an inaugural flight certificate and souvenir in gratitude for their support to the Hong Kong-Sapporo route, impressing them with the charm of Japan in advance. The flight touched down at Hokkaido New Chitose Airport at 17:30 local time on December 19. The passengers and flight crew received a warm welcome from the Airlines' local staff, representatives from Hokkaido Government and Tourism Organization. To further encourage travelers visiting Sapporo, Hong Kong Airlines now exclusively offers Business Class passengers flying to Sapporo with free checked baggage allowance for ski equipment, allowing them to embrace a snowy Hokkaido winter and enjoy carefree skiing experience in Japan.
