Guangzhou: Thai AirAsia (TAA) is strengthening its network in China with the launch of a new route aimed at the renewed surge in arrivals from the world's most populous country.
Thailand's largest low-cost carrier will begin non-stop daily service connecting Krabi with the southern-Chinese economic hub of Guangzhou on Nov 6.
The Krabi-Guangzhou flight will its 14th Thailand-China air route and one of the 10 Chinese destinations served by TAA, forming what is believed to be the largest China network abroad by a non-Chinese carrier.
It will be the first new international service for TAA since the coup.
TAA chief executive Tassapon Bijleveld said the load factor for all of TAA's Thailand-China routes was relatively high at 80% this year.
