San Miguel Offers New Airport Proposal

MANILA"”The Philippine government's plan to build a next-generation airport has drawn a surprise alternative proposal from the country's biggest company.


San Miguel Corp in May delivered an unsolicited $10 billion proposal that the conglomerate said is fully designed and could be operating in five years. Some of the Philippines' biggest companies are looking to carve up the construction work and Japanese and Korean contractors were lined up, too.
