About MasWings

Maswings is a Malaysian regional airline operating flights in the Malaysian part of the island of Borneo, the so called Rural Air Services (RAS). It operates daily flights between airports in the states of Sarawak and Sabah using ATR 72 or de Havilland DHC-6 twin motored propeller aircraft. At the moment it does not have any international flights, but it is waiting for approval to start flights to Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei and Piontanak in the Indonesian part of Borneo.
Maswings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines.

Baggage allowance
On Maswings’ ATR flights you are allowed 20kg of free checked baggage, but on the DHC-9 Twin Otter airplanes you are only allowed to check in 10kg for free. You can check in more baggage but you have to pay RM 1 per kilo on the Twin otter planes or RM 5 on ATR planes.
Only one piece of hand baggage is allowed to be taken into the cabin with a maximum weight of 5kg.
